'On 18th November, Matthew Barton's auction offered a collection of ancient Ottoman tiles which got me twitching, not least as that repro on my desk has kept my tile fever simmering.  Lot 270 'A group of Iznik tile fragments, Ottoman Anatolia, circa 1580'.....

Barton had plenty of silver that would make great presents when normal service resumes.'
