AN 1859 PATTERN MKII NAVAL CUTLASS BAYONET, NO. 4074, CIRCA 1860

of regulation pattern, with bright slightly curved blade (some old rust patination) of flattened diamond section at the point, russet bowl guard with muzzle-mount also forming a lobed rear quillon, beaked pommel with spring bayonet catch, and chequered hard rubber grips, in its leather scabbard (some old wear and crazing) with linear engraved russet steel locket and chape, the former with frog-button, 68.0 cm blade
