of regulation pattern, with bright curved blade double-edged to the point in front of the yelman, etched over both sides between symmetrical scrolling foliage with crowned ‘VR’ cypher, and crowned crossed sword and baton above a wreath of oak and laurel, the ricasso on one side with retailer’s details, gilt copper alloy-mounted hilt including characteristic quillon-block, grip-strap, and bevelled ivory grip-scales each retained by two gilt florets on both sides, and retaining its red cord and bullion sword-knot, in its brass scabbard with two suspension rings, and in fine condition, 80.0 cm blade
