A DANISH MODEL 1789 CAVALRY PALLASCH, REIGN OF CHRISTIAN VII (1749-1808)

with tapering fullered blade with narrow fuller along the back over half its length on both sides to the point, the forte on one side struck with a crowned ‘D’ inspector’s mark, copper alloy hilt comprising double shell-guard, one pricked ‘A:110.’ beneath, half-basket guard above of flat bars framing a saltire and linked to the knuckle-guard, the latter screwed to the large globular pommel, inner thumb-ring, down-bent rear quillon and leather-covered grip bound with a strand of twisted copper alloy wire, 94.0 cm blade
