CIRCLE OF PAUL MAITLAND (1863-1909)

CIRCLE OF PAUL MAITLAND (1863-1909) RIDERS ON ROTTEN ROW, HYDE PARK oil on canvas 45 cm by 62 cm; 18 in by 24 1/2 in Provenance with Anthony D'Offay Gallery (label on stretcher) This intriguing early twentieth century view of Hyde Park is probably by an artist in the circle of Paul Maitland and Albert Ludovici who did very similar views at around the same date. It bears some comparison with the work of William Evelyn Osborn (1868-1906), who executed similar London views on the same scale.

Sold for £900
