A PERSIAN DAGGER (JAMBIYA) AND TWO FURTHER DAGGERS (JAMBIYA), LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY

the first with curved double-edged blade of watered steel formed with a medial ridge and chiselled with exotic beasts at the forte on each face, and marine ivory hilt (cracked) decorated with figures in traditional costume; the second with curved double-edged blade, slender hilt formed of layers of horn and copper alloy with large silver beadwork mounts; the third Moroccan, with copper alloy pommel and horn grip, the first: 26.4 cm (3)
