A CLOSE-HELMET IN LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY STYLE, 19TH CENTURY

with large rounded one-piece skull with separate keel-shaped comb, upper-bevor shaped to the comb and with slender sight above the prow-shaped visor, the latter pierced on the right side with three rows of rectangular breaths (catch missing), lower bevor with pivoting support for the upper-bevor on the right, single-plate gorget- and neck-plates each incised with a decorative border of adorsed ‘C’s’ and circles, and each with border of dome-headed rivets, 29.0 cm high
