AN INDIAN HUNTING KNIFE, TREACHER & CO., BOMBAY & POONA, CIRCA 1880-90

with broad single-edged blade formed with a swaged spear-point and filed back-edge, etched with the maker’s details on one face, rectangular ricasso, German silver elliptical guard, milled copper alloy fillets, and natural staghorn scales retained by five rivets and with vacant German silver escutcheon, in its German silver mounted leather scabbard with spring retaining clip, 20.0 cm blade
