Hans Feibush is portrayed here emerging from a bush with his recognizable specs, brush in hand, leaning in a suggestive pose over a reclining nude who pulls him down towards her. She is likely to be Phyllis Bray with whom Feibusch had an intimate relationship in the 1960s. She made the composition as a humorous pun with the inscription 'Feibush after Bray'.
Offered together with 'Venus and Cupid', oil on porcelain, 8 x 12cm (15 x 19.5cm framed).
