‡˜A 25 BORE OTTOMAN MIQUELET-LOCK GUN (SHISHANA), FIRST QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY with earlier Italian barrel stamped 'Lazari Cominaz' over the breech, inlaid with a small brass panel cut with an Ottoman maker's inscription and retained by three pierced chased silver-gilt bands (areas of rust), iron lock faced with silver panels engraved with a scale pattern and inset with coral beads over the spring bridal, wooden stock almost entirely encased in silver-gilt panels embossed and chased with cartouches of scrolls, flowers and foliage in low relief on a contrasting punched ground, overlaid with ivory panels about the barrel tang, faceted butt en suite, partially covered with silver embroidered fabric and with a large ivory rondel on the left and the right a pair of iron sling swivels, and iron ramrod 72.7 cm; 28 5/8 in barrel
