A JAPANESE SWORD (KATANA), MEIJI PERIOD the blade shinogi-zukuri, koshi-zori, wide mi-haba and o-kissaki, gunome hamon becoming choji in places separated by sections of suguha with sunagaeshi and inazuma, wide ko-midare boshi with kaeri, kizu on the ura approaching the monouichi area and ubu nakago with a single mekugi-ana, kesho-yasuri and signed Banhi Han (Harima Clan) Horokoshi Tetsugu Minamoto Yoshi Yuki Saku on the omote and dated Meiji Ninen Go Gatsu (1869) on the ura; with shira-saya Nagasa: 71.4 cm; Moto-haba: 3.2 cm; Saki-haba: 2.2 cm This sword is accompanied by an NBTHK white paper No. 35442 dated Showa 53rd year (8th July 1978).
