In 2006, the artist encountered a young boy riding his bicyle through the streets of El Agouza, Cairo. The child's smiling face embodied innocence, freedom, and unrestrained joy - qualities that immediately drew the artist's attention and inspired her to photograph the moment.
The painting began as an oil sketch, she reimagined the setting, placing the boy against a vast seascape framed by surrounding mountains. This juxtaposition blends realisty with imagination, enhancing the sense of freedom and timelessness conveyed by the figure.
Final touches were added in 2010, at which point the artist completed and signed the oil painting.
