Qaeqhao Moses is a San artist and printmaker from Botswana, widely recognised as one of the most accomplished practitioners of his generation to emerge from the Kuru Art Project. Established in D'Kar in 1990 under the auspices of the Kuru Development Trust, the project has provided San artists with materials, printmaking facilities and an international exhibition platform, enabling a remarkable body of work that draws on the visual culture, spiritual life and ancestral landscape knowledge of the San people of the Kalahari. Moses joined the project in 1994, mentored by established artists including Thamae Setshogo and Dada (Coex'ae Qgam), and has since developed a practice in linocut printmaking and oil painting that is internationally collected and widely exhibited. He won the Thapong Printmaking Artist of the Year prize in 2012.
