Armstrong works in acrylic on canvas using techniques of heavy layering and textured paint processes, creating images that explore the peoples and wildlife of Africa with particular attention to the dignity and spiritual depth of her figurative subjects. Her work has attracted international interest and is held in private collections across the world.
