A JAPANESE SWORD (KATANA-KEN), 19TH CENTURY with straight broad blade double-edged towards the point, the main edge formed with a straight hamon, formed with a short broad fuller and a long slender fuller on each side, plain tang pierced with two mekugi-ana, (the tang shortened), fishskin-covered grip, iron kabuto-gane, in its lacquered saya with iron mounts 49cm; 19 1/4in blade
