a illustrated and illuminated Persian manuscript on paper, written in fine nasta'liq in black ink with headings in red, in four columns within gold and black ruled borders, with 28 illustrations, approximately 470 leaves, leather binding, folio 29.5 x 20.3 cm., text 24.8 x 16 cm.; and another Persian manuscript with later illustrations, cloth binding, folio 27.7 x 17.8 cm. Provenance: Acquired in Iran in the 1930s. Thence by descent.
