A RARE PHILIPPINES SWORD, 19TH CENTURY with long straight slender blade double-edged for the last seven inches and formed with a sharply angled point (pitted), forte enclosed by a brass panel on each side, brass stirrup hilt formed with an up-turned shell-guard engraved with the crowned arms of Spain enclosed by olive fronds, solid pommel formed with a c-shaped recess on one side, integral grip shaped for the fingers, and faced with four horn panels each retained by a pair of brass rivets 95.5cm; 37 3/4in blade
