the lid painted en plein with a mother and child within a heart-shaped cartouche flanked by leafy gold sprays against a translucent blue ground, cerulean and white opaque enamel Vitruvian scroll border, the sides with silver and gold paillon decoration within heart-shaped dividers, the base with heart reserve inscribed 'Amitié', maker's mark only 'GR/G' under a crown to lid and poorly struck to base, 6.5cm long
