A RARE COMBINED FLINTLOCK PISTOL AND HUNTING SWORD, CIRCA 1770
with straight fullered blade double-edged towards the point, steel hilt formed of a pierced down-turned scalloped shell-guard, moulded knuckle-guard and gadrooned pommel, fitted with cannon barrel on the right-hand side of the forte, struck with a spurious proof mark at the breech, the pan and steel mounted on the left of the forte, and natural staghorn grip incorporating the cock, trigger and enclosing the mainspring (defective)
