with tapering blade of robust hollow-triangular section, the inner face of the ricasso flattened for the thumb, iron hilt of crab-claw form, comprising a pair of drooping quillons and matching inner arms each with filed mouldings and rounded terminals, ring-guard swelling in the centre, faceted ovoid pommel, and the grip bound with plaited wire between 'Turk's heads'
