A PERSIAN DAGGER (KARD), 19TH CENTURY with tapering blade decorated with gold koftgari panels of scrollwork and calligraphy on the other, gilt-brass ferrule, dark green hardstone grip, faceted along the back-edge, the pommel set with a red paste (damaged), and the front decorated with gold-encrusted foliage and set with pastes (three missing), in its leather-covered wooden scabbard with large silver mounts (chape cracked) engraved with foliage around the borders 24.5cm; 9 5/8in
