A VICTORIAN SILVER CIGAR CASE, JOHN LINEGAR, BIRMINGHAM, 1876

oblong and moulded for four cigars, engraved with the crest and motto of Jardine, Scotland, monogrammed initials GCJ and panels of stylised foliage on a linear hatched ground, the gilt interior with T-shaped retainers, 14cm long; together with a Victorian silver ashtray, Edward Smith, Birmingham, 1863, coffin shaped, with two bars across the top acting as cigar rests, sides scroll foliate engraved around a vacant shield, 10cm long; 211g (2)
