with tapering blade of flattened-diamond section, short recessed neck, a pair of triangular basal lugs, each pierced with three holes and struck with an 'M' mark on one side, faceted socket, a pair of short straps, on a later wooden haft

64 cm; 25¼ in head

Part proceeds to benefit the Acquisition Fund of the Arms and Armor department, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
