with robust tapering blade of hollow-diamond section, iron hilt cut with a fine chequered design (perhaps later) over almost its entire surface, comprising drooped quillons with bud-shaped terminals, outer ring-guard, near spherical pommel, and the grip with a later wire binding between 'Turk's Heads', 27.3 cm blade
