with broad slightly curved blade double-edged for its last third, formed with a long slender fuller over most of its length and engraved with scrolling foliage, rectangular ricasso with an additional fuller framing the bladesmith's mark, probably a double eagle beneath a mullet enclosed by the inscription 'Jesus' on each face, and characteristic horn grip with an engraved silver collar at the base
