˜A 16 BORE CAUCASIAN MIQUELET-LOCK PISTOL, LAST QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY with tapering barrel retained by three broad nielloed silver bands and engraved with stars at the breech, long iron tang cut with a brief inscription and inlaid with silver, characteristic iron lock with a brass-lined maker's mark and a leather pad at the rear, leather-covered full stock, large bulbous marine ivory pommel, nielloed silver mounts including side-plate, a medallion-shaped panel with a lengthy inscription ahead of the trigger, trigger-plate and fore-end cap, silver bud-shaped trigger and iron ramrod with silver tip 42.0 cm; 16 ½ in barrel
