the circular bowl and cover richly chased all over with figural vignettes in arabesque panels amidst foliage on a matted ground, the underside engraved with facsimile signatures and presentation inscription, the ebonised wood stand carved with central support on a triform base set with three chinthes (Burmese guardian lion figures)
