A SMALL-SWORD, CIRCA 1760 with hollow-triangular blade etched with a panel of scrollwork over the lower portion, steel hilt chiselled with foliage around the borders, retaining some blued finish (now oxidised to black), including double shell-guard with moulded brim, knuckle-guard, faceted globular quillon, and moulded three-stage pommel decorated en suite with the shell, and the grip with a later plaited binding with 'Turks' heads' 74cm; 29 1/8in blade
