A RARE INDIAN MAIL COIF, 17TH/18TH CENTURY, PROBABLY BIKANER, RAJASTHAN

of small riveted rings of near round-section wire, covering the face with a triangular flap and two openings for the eyes, extending at the front, over the shoulders and the back, fitted at the top with a pierced low domed copper alloy boss fitted with a ring, decorated at the principle borders with rows of butted copper alloy links, a small panel of copper alloy rings in the centre of the forehead, and with an early blue silk lining (rust, small losses)
