‡Ⓜ A SOUTHEAST ASIAN SWORD (DHA), LATE 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY LAOS

with curved single-edged blade broadening towards the tip and decorated with three grooves and dots, scalloped oval copper guard, and the grip encased with silver chased with bands of foliage between plaited borders (pommel missing), in its rattan-bound wooden scabbard with silver locket (chape missing)
