TWO DUTCH NAVAL BOARDING CUTLASSES, MID-19TH/20TH CENTURY based on the French model 1833, one blade etched with an anchor on each side and with the maker's initials 'A & A. S.' at the forte, the other stamped 'JFJBar Delft' at the forte, the guards stamped '1669' and '2225' respectively, an painted with an early white number inside, in their steel scabbards 67.3cm; 26 1/2in blades (2) The Dutch variant of the French model 1833 stayed in use until 1940.
