with broad curved blade double-edged towards the point and reinforced along the back-edge, decorated with silver scrollwork on each face, copper alloy hilt comprising quillons with faceted bud-shaped quillons, plain back-strap, and the grips fitted with a pair of horn grip-scales retained by two pairs of rivets, and pierced bulbous pommel, in its leather-covered wooden scabbard with large copper alloy mounts comprising chape, locket and middle band with two rings for suspension, 66.8 cm blade
