Achille Mollica ran the Mollica Ceramiche business together with his two brothers, Ciro and Alessandro, whilst also becoming known for his finely painted oils on canvas of genre and Orientalist subjects. Confusingly his death date is often quoted as 1885, despite known later dated works and exhibitions.
