A RARE SIAMESE (THAI) SWORD (DHAB), SUKHOTHAI OR AYUTTHAYA, 15TH/18TH CENTURY
with single-edged blade formed with a sharp point and widening towards the tip, iron hilt formed of a long ferrule with raised mouldings, terminating in a shaped near rosette-shaped guard, decorated over the greater part of its surface with gold scrollwork, and bronze grip cast with a raised band top and bottom
