AN INDIAN DAGGER HILT, 18TH/19TH CENTURY for a khanjar, of figured white soapstone, with carved scrolling base decorated with foliage issuant with an elaborate lotus flower, lightly indented for the fingers on the inside of the grip (cracked through and expertly repaired), finely detailed tiger's head pommel carved in the round, and a pair of rubies within gold settings for the eyes: on a wooden stand 14cm; 5 1/2in high
