A GERMAN HUNTING SWORD, LATE 19TH CENTURY with straight fullered blade double-edged towards the point, struck with the bladesmith's mark at the forte, white metal hilt cast in low relief, including down-turned shell-guard decorated with a hound in pursuit of a stag, quillons with hound's head terminals, solid grip decorated with a boar hunting scene including a hunter in contemporary dress, and gadrooned pommel, in its leather-covered wooden scabbard with white metal mounts cast en suite with the hilt, including matching accompanying knife 51.5 cm; 20 1/4 in blade
