A COMPOSITE SILVER-HILTED SWORD, LONDON SILVER HALLMARKS FOR 1723 MAKER'S MARK GW with curved fullered blade of regulation type double-edged towards the tip, silver small-sword hilt cast and chased in low relief, including double shell-guard of unequal size, near rectangular knuckle-guard, and globular pommel, decorated throughout with panels of conventional flowers and foliage, and retaining its original grip bound with silver wire 74.5cm; 29Gin blade
