A BRONZE FIGURE OF SRIDEVI, TAMIL NADU, SOUTH INDIA, CIRCA 18TH CENTURY

the consort of Vishnu standing in tribhanga, her right hand raised holding a lotus, wearing tall headdress with bud finial, 15.5cm high

An unusual feature of this depiction of Sridevi, is the treatment of the kuchabandha, which instead of being tightly fastened to the goddess's breasts is loosely draped across her front.
