A RARE PERSIAN DAGGER (QAMA), 19TH CENTURY AND THREE FURTHER DAGGERS

the first with tapering double-edged blade of crucible steel formed with a medial ridge (the tip and upper portion missing), decorated with a panel of gold scrollwork at the forte, carved marine ivory hilt with pointed pommel, in its wooden scabbard with large chased white metals mounts (chape incomplete); the second a Malaysian bade bade, in its carved horn scabbard; the third South American, with single-edged blade and silver grip; and the fourth with horn grip, the first: 23.7 cm blade (4)
