A 22 BORE PERCUSSION EAST INDIAN COMPANY SEA SERVICE PISTOL BY PRITCHETT, CIRCA 1821-50 if regulation type, with tapering russet barrel, signed lock, full stock (cracks), regulation brass mounts, iron belt hook and brass-tipped ramrod (the iron parts with areas of light rust) 26.0 cm; 10 1/4 in barrel Richard Ellis Pritchett, of Chamber Street, London, was a contractor to the East India Company circa 1821-51, see Blackmore 1986, p.162.
