A RARE CASED 54 BORE BEAUMONT-ADAMS PATENT FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH SHOULDER

A RARE CASED 54 BORE BEAUMONT-ADAMS PATENT FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH SHOULDER STOCK, NO., 30796, BIRMINGHAM PROOF MARKS, CIRCA 1860-65 with blued octagonal sighted barrel fitted with loading lever on the left (small dents on the right), border-engraved blued frame signed 'Adams patent' and numbered on the right, blued numbered cylinder, chequered walnut butt, blued trigger-guard and butt-cap, the latter fitted with a pierced eye for a lanyard, and with some early finish throughout (oxidised to brown in areas), skeleton shoulder stock with finely chequered butt, fitted with a knurled press-stud, and numbered en suite: in original fitted oak case (lid repaired), lined in green baize, and complete with some accessories including R. Adams patent brass bullet mould, powder-flask by G & J. W Hawksley and nickel-topped glass Young's oil bottle 62cm; 24 1/2 including stock
