AN IRON MORTAR MOUNTED AS A "HAND GONNE", PROBABLY 15TH/16TH CENTURY with octagonal iron barrel formed with a recessed vent, retained by a single later iron band, fitted onto a later wooden tiller complete with iron lug, the stock and iron parts well patinated to match the barrel 13.0 cm; 5 1/8 in barrel
