TWO POLYCHROME-PAINTED WOOD RITUAL DAGGERS (phur-bu) Tibet, 19th century Each depicting a figure of a winged Vajrakila in yab-yum with his sakti, one green, one white, the three sided blade below issuing from a makara, mounted on stand 16; 16.5cm high (2) Vajrakila (Tib. Dorje Phurba) is the personification of the ritual dagger or phurbu, an important element of Tibetan Buddhist ritual.
