AN ARTS AND CRAFTS SILVER QUAICH, GEORGE LAWRENCE CONNELL, LONDON, 1902 the hammered circular bowl applied with shaped flat handles pierced with thistles 8.5cm long, 155gr (5oz) G.L. Connell is credited with introducing 'modern, artistic silverware' to the firm's wares from the late 1890s. His wife Christine was a silversmith, whose work bearing the GLC maker's mark was sold by the firm, and who may well have had a hand in the design of this quaich.
