A SWISS ENAMELLED GOLD LADY'S WATCH ON CHAIN, HENRY CAPT HORLOGER, MAISON GALLOPIN SUCCESSEUR, GENEVA, CIRCA 1900

keyless wind movement signed 'HENRY CAPT / GENÈVE', frosted champagne dial with black Arabic numerals, 'Breguet' hands and similar signature, gold cuvette also similarly signed, circular case finely decorated on an opaque black ground with basse-taille enamelled roses, case back with Henry Capt trademark, French 'owl' import marks, numbered to case, cuvette and movement '48317', 30mm diameter, its chain with curb links between lozenge and lanceolate panels enamelled to both sides to match, chain 620mm long

Although the Henry Capt business was owned by Louis Gallopin et Cie by this date, apparently watches signed Henry Capt only were destined for other retailers, rather than for sale through one of Gallopin's own outlets.
