A RARE .700 CALIBRE FRENCH MODEL 1763/66 FLINTLOCK DRAGOON MUSKET of regulation type, the barrel retained by three brass bands, stamped 'B73' at the breech, tang engraved with the model designation 'M1763', regulation lock with Charleville arsenal inscription and 'N', full stock impressed 'Bouchl' in capital letters opposite the lock and 'MA1072' on the right of the butt, regulation brass mounts struck 'N', iron saddle bar with ring, a pair of iron sling swivels, iron ramrod, and in good, clean condition throughout 78.7 cm; 31 in barrel See Vuillemin 1997, pp. 19-24.
