INFANTRY OFFICERS' MESS DRESS UNIFORMS OF THE INDIAN ARMY, 1936
a scarlet jacket, bearing tailor's label of John Jones & Co, inscribed to Major T.S. Emery and dated 24/3/36. Buff roll collar, fitted with badges of a crown above an interlocked white metal quoit and gilt circle. Buff shoulder-straps and pointed cuffs. Scarlet waistcoat fastened by four gilt buttons mounted with 15 in silver, and a pair of blue overalls with scarlet welt in seams; a Lieutenant Colonel's scarlet jacket with yellow facings and white piping, the roll collar fitted with silver badges in the form of a katar below a small cypher, a white Marcella waistcoat with four brass buttons mounted with silver device of the VIIth Rajput Regiment, and blue overalls; and another scarlet mess jacket, with green facings and white piping, Rankin label inscribed 2Lt N.R. Kaiser (?) 3/10/30, lacking collar-badges but otherwise very good condition
