A RAPIER IN NORTH EUROPEAN LATE 16TH CENTURY STYLE, 19TH CENTURY with earlier blade stamped 'Caino' within a short fuller on each face, steel hilt of rounded bars comprising a pair of quillons with bud-shaped finials, two outer ring-guards, a pair of arms, bifurcated inner-guard and barrel shaped pommel, the principal bars and the pommel decorated with bold filed patterns of spiral fluting, and the grip bound with plaited wire and 'Turks' heads' 115cm; 45 1/4in blade
