**A SWISS HALBERD, ZURICH, CIRCA 1780 with broad central blade drawn-out to a short point at the tip and formed with a moulded waist at the base, triangular head pierced and engraved with the rampant lion of Zurich clasping the letter Z beneath enclosed within a wreath of foliage, pierced down-turned rear spike, moulded socket, a pair of long straps and conical steel shoe 66cm; 26in head Provenance The Moser Collection A similar example is preserved in the Schweizerisches Landesmuseum, Zurich.
