with tapering blade of flattened-diamond section, steel hilt, comprising pierced, engraved large shallow circular dish-guard decorated with bold sprays of foliage issuant from a base of scrolls, a pair of quillons with chiselled bud-shaped finials, quillon-block decorated with further scrolls and foliage, tall ovoid pommel decorated en suite, and spirally-moulded grip bound with wire and 'Turks' heads' (the steel; parts lightly pitted, grip worn)
